'MIRROR MIRROR' COMMISSION FOR THE BEANEY GALLERY

I am incredibly grateful and overjoyed to have been commissioned for a portrait by the historic Beaney Gallery at the heart of Canterbury, for their ‘Mirror Mirror’ project, in partnership with The National Portrait Gallery and Arts Council England. Very excited to get started and have the honour of working alongside some amazingly talented artists to help this project come to life. I’m lucky enough to be under the expert tutelage of artist Sarah Spencer NEAC to help me through this commission. More information on the project can be found on the gallery website, link below:

MIRROR MIRROR PROJECT

Commissioned by Disability Sports Wales for their annual awards ceremony hosted by the Sennedd, a portrait to commemorate and celebrate the great work of Paralympian and esteemed coach Jim Munkley. He inspired a new generation of athletes to compete and succeed ahead of the 2020 Paralympic Games.

Dilys Price OBE is, amongst other achievements and awards, the founder of Touch Trust and Guinness World Record holder for skydiving! She exceptional character who has transformed the experiences of thousands of people with profound multiple disabilities and those living with autism through the development of the Touch Trust method. She has a wicked sense of humour and words of wisdom to share. This is my biggest oil painting yet at 2.10cm by 1.5cm.

Having recently moved into the wonderful Barnabas Arts House, I have begun painting a new body of work for exhibition. This will be a series of commissioned oil paintings the reflect both the sitters likeness and character. This is the first of many.
